SONA 2018: We Are One

                    Human rights are held by all human beings and human rights exist as long as human beings exist. Both are incapable and cannot be separated. Exactly, human rights indicate of " Such conditions which are necessary for the fullest development and achievement of the innate characteristics which nature has contribute him/her with, as a human being. They are essential to ensure the dignity of every person as a human being.

                    " Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives. " This is one of the statements that our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on his SONA 2018 ( State of the Nation Address ). Most of people are being shocked and even the celebrities shared their own thoughts on what happened in that statement. Nowadays, teenagers are being squander because of the drugs called shabu, cocaine, heroine, and cannabis. He repeatedly told the people gathered that his belief is that drugs are a huge problem to our society and that something has to be done about it and He even admonish the people fighting for human rights that he showed be supported in his quest. President Duterte wants to prove us that he know what he is doing, that all he want for our country is to become a peaceful country.

                    Every human being, as a social being, lives in a group in the society. As an individual, he has a right to life and right to a decent living. As a social being, he too has other rights like: right to freedom of speech, belief and faith and right to move freely. This, human right are essential for the development of the human personality in society, where he lives.

                    I think Duterte is a very good president and he has been instrumental in making the Philippines an up and coming place. He cited Duterte for his initiatives in protecting the Filipino people. President Duterte is like a two-edge sword. On one side, he is strong-willed leader who like to get things done but on the other edge he is a bloody stubborn foul-mouthed thug-like boss who doesn't mince his words even though it is plainly unnecessary. I always believe that a nation's leader must be decisive and results-oriented in delivering the essential needs of his/her countrymen.
